Another Jackal Production Vol 45: Jon Anderson & The Band Geeks 2026-07-05 Meritage Resort, Napa, CA

Yes is a long-time all-time favorite of mine. I've seen Jon with Yes a dozen times going back to 1975 & outside of Yes twice last year with The Band Geeks & during the 1000 Hands Tour in 2019 with a different band. Great to see Jon on my 70th birthday!!

The main differences from last year were a couple fewer songs from the Band Geeks album True, and no Owner of a Lonely Heart. New in the setlist this time around were Soon & Leaves of Green... a couple of really nice additions. Recorded from 4th row center outdoors on the Village Lawn, which is a concert venue they set-up on the resort grounds for the Blue Note Summer Sessions. I did my best to edit out as much as I could of the guy one row back and a few seats to my left who, all night long, did random rythmic clapping that had no bearing at all on the music being played. Some artifacts remain in the recording that were beyond my limited skill to fully resolve without compromising the music.
